Today I'm sharing a monthly sewing themed treat and my new favourite custom thread organiser!
How brilliant are these stickers?!
Part of the latest Signs of the Sewdiac subscription box from Sew Crafty, which has now ended but you can still snap up some of the goodies from the range in Samantha's Etsy shop. I'm not a knitter but still appreciate the design of this month's box 'The Knitting'.
And although I will probably pass the pin on to my knitting mum, these two products made me do a happy dance...
Obviously stickers, I might have a slight obsession, since I was a kid they just make me feel so happy and I will definitely be using these in my planner and notebook. The large stickers that she's sent with each box have so far found their way onto my laptop, a tin and my sewing machine (Elna 680, named Emmett)!!
This gorgeous desk calendar with stand is my other favourite, so useful and I get to enjoy the illustrations throughout the year!
More happy mail came, I bought a thread organiser knowing this Modern Folk Embroidery cross stitch pattern would be my first new project this year. It is perfect!! A hexagon with my name on it!! It's from Rocket and Fox, they have a cloud and a cactus one too but I fell in love with the hexagon. The quality of it is wonderful, substantially thick enough that I won't break it and it's so nice to have it personalised! I highly recommend treating yourself to one if you use embroidery thread or yarn.
I've been pretty good about not adding too much fabric to my stash recently, though just the other night I did place an order for more thread from Lakeside Needlecraft for my cross stitch project because I realised the palette I originally picked was a little limited and needed more tonal variation. With one cross stitch finished, it means I have made a start and so far I'm very happy with it. The mint thread #0192 from The Gentle Art, is so pretty and stitches beautifully.
I'm off to stitch a bit more before bedtime! I might get back to quilting in a few days ;)
Have a great week!

I love the thread organiser, I can see me buying several of these as Christmas presents this year for all my cross stitching friends. x
Wow how fabulous is your yarn organiser! Now I know what to buy Hannah for her birthday 😍 I think my signal is poor at the moment as I can't open the link to your finished cross stitch but I know it will be beautiful. X
It's so great! Makes a lovely gift I think :)
Thanks Cheryl! It's so nice that you can personalise them, perfect present! X
Hi Lucy. I love reading your blogs. The social media one made me start up my blog ... again. It was so true what you said. It seems to be a January thing, but this year I have monthly projects. Maybe this will help with my writing. I used to cross stitch baby moons ago, it was my thing. But haven’t done any for years. Although, that thread holder would have been so handy.
Thank you so much Michelle! Glad to hear you're writing again, what is your blog?
that mint thread is very pretty! what a lot of little treats you've collected, lucy. fun for you!
