The kindness of our community always surprises me! Lovely Naomi asked if she could send me a little gift after discovering that penguins are my favourite creatures. I was thrilled to receive this adorable Christmas decoration, with beautiful fussy cut penguins!

It's a clever way to turn epp into a cute decoration and, once we have our tree, it will join our other handmade makes - examples of which you can see here, here and here (that was a nice trip down memory lane for me!). Thank you so much Naomi!

As I'm typing this I am watching Blue Planet II and enjoying seeing some penguins! If you haven't watched the show you really must, it's an incredible piece of art, full of fascinating facts and stunning scenes. Also Sir David Attenborough should narrate everything.

This week I also received my (fairly restrained) Black Friday haul from Fat Quarter Shop. These gorgeous prints have been on my list for a while and I'm so pleased to get to create with them.

What the photo doesn't show is that these colours are actually stunning Ombre fabrics. They really are amazing colours and beautifully soft. I have a project planned for them!

I fell in love with Snap to Grid by Kimberly Kight as soon as I saw it on social media and picked out my favourites to add to my stash:

This week should be fun, I've got a trip to the theatre, a work Christmas party and (most exciting) the kids have their Christmas performances! Then I'm ready to wind down and enjoy the holidays. Hope you all have a fun filled week too!
