I'm feeling pretty proud of myself today. I actually managed to stop myself working on the five different projects I thought about starting or continuing and stayed focused to work on this EPP project. I have one more row to sew on, hopefully I get that finished tonight. Then I can crack on with quilting :)
I panicked that this mix of fabrics is just a little too mad (and maybe it is) but I'm loving it and hopefully it will inspire people who want to take a class with me.
What motivates you to get a project finished? I am on a deadline and have other projects I want to make and teach, so working on one thing at a time seems sensible right now!

I am often a deadline person as well. But I as often dislike the unsatisfied feeling it gives - not having accomplished enough when you had the time and freedom. Nevertheless - it get's things done - and the finishes are feeling as good then #smile
At the moment I have no deadlines and so I am working on the projects of my list, I want to work on the most (not which should be worked on). It's a fun contrast!
Good for you for staying focused on just one project! Such will power!
I confess to having several projects on the go at once, but I committed to working on just one each month and now have a HUGE flimsy nearly done. I started that about 4 years ago LOL
But there's nothing like a deadline to give you a push!
what motivates me? The having to hand over the present the day before!
I am terrible at starting yet another new project while I still have plenty to get finished. If am making a present I am pretty good at hitting deadlines but most of the ones sitting around half finished are meant for me and therefore don't matter how long they take.
I have a problem with buying fabric or kits for a project and then not being able to get to them. Or I get the top done and they sit waiting to be finished for a long time. I have a bin of tops wating to be quilted and 4 kits sitting in the bag or box waiting to be assembled. I need to just stop looking at all the beautiful fabrics and quilt desogns on line and stay out of the quilt shops. Good luck on your class.
I'm always conflicted - work on several at a time or work on one and finish it. The problem is - they are all calling to me!
Well done on not starting a new project. I know how hard it is when you get the urge.

It is hard to stay on one project really :) I motivate myself with new projects. I tell myself once I finish this I'll start this or that :) It doesn't work very well though, lol.
While I love to finish things, I'm finding when I allow myself to simply enjoy the creating I find the most joy in sewing, dyeing, or sketching.
That said, I'm not always good at making decisions on how to finish things, so I'm working on making choices and getting projects moving again!
