I am doing a lot of hand piecing, English Paper Piecing and hand quilting and am loving it more and more. I think I need to turn my machine on just to make sure it's ok but I'm content spending my evenings curled up with a needle and thread for now.
I've done more green tea and sweet beans blocks, here are my first two Garden Paths (just one more to do):
I did some epp and hand appliqué for a cushion I hope to be teaching and of course I'm going to hand quilt it! I've chosen my perle thread and hope to crack on with it tonight:
But I couldn't stop at one and I've started another cushion (can you say addict?!!) with some lovely Chicopee by Denyse Schmidt:
Oh and I did manage to find the name of the fabric I bought at work the other day...
It's quite hard to get hold of but obviously we have some at Patchfinders and we do postal orders, so give us a call if you fancy some!

Love those Garden path blocks! They are paper-pieced?
Your Garden Path blocks are great! I love spending my evenings at handwork! Weekends are for machining! Enjoy!
Luscious photos!
Those blocks are just heavenly!!
I think I may need to put an order in for a half yard!
Lovely hand work - I need to get back into mine again. I have been too tired to even sew in the evenings - it has been episodes of Downton Abbey instead!
love that more antique treasures pattern !
Hi Lucy! I am one of the people that fell in love with your fabríc, but I am just now realizing you are in England. I am way over in Washington State in the US, so it's probably pretty expensive to buy it and get it sent over here. My email is magistra13 at yahoo dot com do you have an email of someone at your work that I could ask? I don't want to wear out your good nature. I only want a half to a full meter, so don't worry about it all if you don't want to mess with it. I totally understand. Thank you,
Beth
Hi Lucy, I forgot to take the details of the perle thread you use for hand quilting in class yesterday. I will crack on with the blocks once I have a couple of Christmas projects finished. Great class. X
I love those blocks, Lucy! I finally for a hoop last weekend to hang the embroidery in my sewing room. Haven't had any energy to do it yet. It's going right next to my sewing desk!
Dark evenings are just perfect for hand piecing. I did some last night: first time in ages! Love that purple fabric
Looks like a great way to while away the time :o)
Your paper piecing looks great. I'm starting to think I should begin an EPP project. I don't have anywhere to leave my sewing out at the moment and it means I hardly get to sew these days :(
