I realise I've said it before (and I'm sure I am preaching to the converted) but quilting really is the best therapy. With my husband busy curating an exhibition, I have sat and sewed while watching tv*, trying to relax as best I can. I have to say I am very pleased with the results and these little patchwork flowers and blocks bring a smile to my face.
The flowers and leaves are destined to become a cushion that I hope to be teaching in a class next year. You can see the progress of my attempts at English Paper Piecing curves going from left to right on the top row:
Next up more hand pieced Propellar blocks for my Green Tea and Sweet Beans quilt, only a couple more left to do before I stitch them together:
Tonight I'm finishing up binding my Arizona + x quilt, so hopefully I will have a finish for Friday, and should I get that done I will be straight back to sewing more gtsb blocks because they make me happy!
*currently still catching up with Law and Order: Criminal Intent, loving Gotham and maybe slightly more than obsessed with Scorpion (which could be my favourite show since Buffy!)

So, so right! I ignored our empty cupboards today and sewed, after a really stressful few days with my injured child it was a great relief to sew. I think I need to put together an emergency hand sewing kit that I can grab to take for our next hospital adventure!
Your curved blocks look awesome! And I'm with you: quilting really is So therapeutic. xoxo
Best show since Buffy is a big call. Might be worth a check out
Ooh!!! I'm loving Scorpion, too!! I agree, it's very Buffyish - verging on ridiculous in places but with enough heart and humour to make it unmissable. I am getting fed up with Gotham, though. I'm not sure what it is but I don't seem to be engaging with anyone except Fish!!!
Lovely sewing as always. X
I always say sewing is good for whatever ails you. Your blocks are looking great! Very pretty.
I have always felt that creativity is necessary for wellbeing l, both physical and otherwise , for me anyway . I love epp as it can be fine in front of tv etc during Match of the day , have yet to try curved epp
lovely sewing, wish i could master the curves like those!
Sewing for the win! So glad you are making so much great progress. :)
the hand pieced propellar blocks are cool. I'd love to make those and yes, Scorpion rocks!
I love EPP for some quiet handsewing in front of the TV, but I really should try something other than hexagons.
I am with you, my friend. Anything is better if we are stitching along. Have thought about having EPP in the car for when I'm stuck in traffic. It would calm me down, right?
I never tire of EPP but have to admit that I am still not happy with curves. x
