**GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED**
Of course I consider myself a fabric addict but there is more to sewing than just fabric and we can't forget the handy notions that make it all possible and help us create beautiful things.
The Fat Quarter Shop are kindly sponsoring a giveaway of my chosen notions. I picked the ones I use a lot, wouldn't want to be without and would like to share with you because I know you will love them too!
So here are a few of my favourite notions:
- A pack of 50 Clover Regular Wonder Clips You don't know how brilliant these are until you start using them. Excellent for holding down binding, useful for bag making or any instance where you need to clip things together. I regularly use them just to keep my EPP or hand sewing pieces in order.
- Aurifil 50 wt thread #2021 The most fabulous thread in beautiful Natural White. I use this colour a lot and it is perfect for piecing.
- Clover White Seam Ripper I would like to rid the world of rubbish seam rippers, using a really good one makes a horrible task so much easier. The larger handle and sharp ripper make all the difference!
- Sewline Styla Water Erasable Pen I use various methods of marking for different projects but one of the most reliable and useful is a water erasable pen. I use it for quilting, embroidery and hand piecing.
- Clover Patchwork Pins I have used lots of different pins but glass head pins are my very favourite, there is something so charming about them and these extra fine ones are perfect for patchwork.
When I shop online I like to be able to add haberdashery items to my basket and the Fat Quarter Shop stocks a fabulous range of notions along with their vast selection of beautiful fabric, so don't forget to check out their Notions and Thread section when you are shopping!
**GIVEAWAY NOW CLOSED**
The giveaway is open internationally, it will end on Saturday 15th November and the winner will be chosen by random.org.
You will not win if I can't contact you so please check you are not 'no reply' and to be sure leave your email in the comment e.g. ilovesewing (at) gmail (dot) com
Good Luck!
p.s. Thank you to Daniar from the Fat Quarter Shop for the beautiful product picture :)

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 544 Newer› Newest»Love those clips! I fought with myself for a long time before getting them. Worth it.
I have never used wonder clips yet, but they are on my list to try some day
I had knee surgery just over two weeks ago, so I have been playing with English paper piecing, the clips are so awsome, I never have used them before.
I love your blog! It's so fun to watch new things and all new ideas.
I shared on facebook.
Those clover clips would have come in handy a few days ago when I needed an extra pair of hands!!! You have great notions!
I am a follower for sure :) Happy Sunday to you!
I love the clips and would love to have more! They are amazing!
I use the Wonder Clip whenever I'm sewing on binding. My seam ripper is essential. It does seem to wander though, so another one would be handy. Thanks for your giveaway opportunity.
P.S. I love the name of your blog!

Great selection of notions. I didn't realize the difference good pins could make until I got some cheap ones that weren't even sharp. Ugh.

Great minds think alike. I love them all too!

I have 10 of the clover clips and they are great but definitely need more. I need the ripper the most as I tend to sew twice and rip once. I've never tried the Aurifil thread but have read great reviews about it. I need a good marking pen/pencil as the one I use doesn't work well and I've tried so many different pins but just haven't found one to work yet so would like to try these. This is a great giveaway and if I won, these things would definitely be used. Thanks. kthurn@bektel.com

Love all the notions. Would love to win the Aurifil thread. Thank you for the giveaway!
For years I only ever used those tiny little seam rippers .. The one with the little plastic lid that breaks like 3 seconds into owning it and therefore it never fits into the lid properly .. I found one similar to the one pictures here and oh my god SO much easier! I don't let anyone I know buy those tiny tiny ones ever!
I am following your blog!
A seam ripper is always needed. Currently working on a Dresden plate quilt.
I love all of these notions, but the Aurifil thread is my favorite!
I would like to try the clips. Lots of good reports on their usefulness.
I will share on FB and twitter.
oldkauaikuuipo@yahoo.com
The clips are wonderful. That's also the best seam ripper.
I'd ask for the clover clips. I bought some and never used them...until just recently and they were amazing! I need more!!! They are great for putting on the binding on a quilt.
I've been wanting Wonder Clips and already love the clover ripper and Aurifil thread. Thank you.
I am teaching the 2nd of 6 granddaughters how to piece blocks for her very first quilt today for her new baby cousin "Ellie Mae". Haley is 11 yrs old and after showing her the basics and her laying out her design using a charm pack "Storybook" Brushed by Kate & Birdie for Moda. She practiced on scraps, and when she started piecing she was able to sew a practically perfect 1/4" seam. I think she's a natural born quilter. The Wonder clips would come in handy to use as she learns to sandwich and quilt her quilt on her next weekend visit. Thanks for the chance to win for my Haley.
I have become a follower and my absolute favourite thread is Aurifil. Coincidently I have just finished a Fat Quarter Shop Xmas block of the month from a couple of years ago called 'Twas the night before Xmas'' and it looks fantastic. For those who haven't used the Fat Quarter Shop, they are a wonderful online store.

Great notions. I could use all of them. I'll confess I've not tried the Clover seam ripper, but I like that it is larger than any seam rippers I've used. Looks more comfortable.

Love the ones you have listed and would add an extendable magnet from tools department of a big box home store. I used the clips yesterday.
I recently found my cherished seam ripper on the floor with the tip broken off. Now it was often found on the floor, the bed, the desk, basically anywhere other than where it should have been, but it was never broken. the culprit (ahem...laughing boy...) still hasn't owned up #harumph
I would be lost without my clover clips. Both sizes.
I shared on Pintrest.
You cannot have enough of those red Clover clips!! I like to use them to hold the larger sections of a paper pieced project together when sewing a long seam. I find they work better than pins in this instance.

Lucy, you're wonderful:) That's the perfect batch of notions for a quilter or sewist. Wonder clips I can not do without but I only have 9. The Aurifil natural white thread is one colour that I've not tried and I'll take your advice on it's versatility. Currently I'm quilting pillows for many friends for Holiday gifts and birthdays this winter. It's a great way to utilize scraps, I'm following a feather motif. Also sewing Pajama's for my sister, whom is hospitalized following surgery for a cancer. She'll need some comforting flannel to lounge in when she gets home, and a pillow too:)
Thank you for selecting this special batch of notions and for your inspiration, always
A friend just told me about the erasable pen so that looks like something great to try. The rest look wonderful too.
I follow through Google friends.
I agree that a good seam ripper makes a miserable job easier. Thanks for the giveaway
