Whatever it is they'll be saying about me now! I'm under strict instructions from the optician to wear my glasses all the time and I have to admit everything seems to be in HD since I got them.
An eye test and a pair of men's glasses (the women's all looked like I'd borrowed them from one of my kids they were so small) for the princely sum of £30 - thank you Specsavers! I feel quite Clark Kent in them and that makes me happy.
I got some much needed supplies this week:
Zips from Rickety Rose Crafts (adore that lime one!) and some dark green DMC perle thread.
Beautiful fat quarters from Simply Solids; Organic Dove Print in light blue, Copenhagen Print Factory; Netorious in Plummy, Cotton and Steel and Flurry Black, Dashwood Studios.
And my mum got the kids a couple of sets of these pens - I love the text on them!
Now be nice about my glasses or you'll have to deal with my crew and we've got some seriously silly faces we can pull at you...
*don't forget to enter my giveaway - ends tomorrow 28th!

Love the glasses! I remember how amazed I was when I got glasses in first grade and realized that you could see individual leaves on trees...as opposed to the broccoli stalk trees I had been seeing and drawing.
Why have I never thought of looking at the bloke's side of the shop? Genius idea. I really like your dove fabric (but then I have a bit of a thing about bird fabrics in general).
You look seriously darling in your glasses!
Feeling like a Clark Kent, ha ha. I always wanted glasses. I don't need them so I bought fake ones to wear just to feel more sofisticated. That is about 15 years ago, lol. I'm sure I feel completely different once I'm going to need them. People in glasses look smart and intellectual! You are no exception ;)
Fab specs!
Those glasses really suit you! Can you really buy specs for thirty quid in England! That would be the biggest bargain around! I won't tell you how much they cost in Australia!
Looking good!
My specs of choice are a pair of the Specsavers freebees!!
they look brilliant and your crew is very intimidating!!
I'm convinced I need glasses after struggling with knitting and cross stitch, but after an eye test, the optician said I just need a better light, but I still can't see the blinking stitches!! hope your seeing things clearer!!!
You look adorable in glasses!!
That is a fantastic price to see the doctor AND get glasses, wow, I don't understand how people look through those tiny little ones either, you look great, I had a pair like that in 8th grade :)
You look fantastic in glasses! I'll have to shop for men's frames next time. I can never find anything I like. Happy stitching in HD.
You're rocking those glasses, Lucy! So clever too - never would guess they're men's glasses.
hee hee... love those funny faces! Now you need to practice a stern look as you peer over the top of your glasses. ;o)
Glasses look great- all the cool kids wear them! Fabric stash looks good too!
You look great in specs. I was 30 something and I cried when I was told I needed glasses and needed them all the while and picked rimless ones in the hope they wouldn't notice and as I was at vision express and needed glasses straight away I ended up paying hundreds! Nothing had prices on them! Anyway, turned out I had an eye infection and on a retest they said I needed glasses but only need wear them for doing things like going to the cinema and driving.
Lucy, you look adorable in glasses! You are definitely rocking the pretty librarian look. :)
Girls who wear glasses are obviously more intelligent (at least we look it even if we aren't). x
Love the glasses! must admit i do not wear mine enough...
Looking good lady! Nice lot of stashing too.
Those look cute on you! Both my husband and I wear glasses, so no snark from me. :D I'm "blessed" to be very near sighted, so I'm under strict instructions to never wear my glasses when I'm doing stuff within arm's reach, like sewing. Of course this means I can never find them......
You look great in glasses! I wore them for years before getting Lasik. I much preferred glasses to contacts; mostly because living in the desert it is so dry that I didn't want to constantly put in eye drops so I had a chance of getting the contact lenses out of my eye at night. I actually think I look funny now without glasses! Anyway, whatever they say it won't be me - yay for good vision! :) I also like the dove print you purchased.
Not sure what they say about girls who wear glasses, but I say when it comes to being able to see or not,I choose to wear mine all the time. You look very nice in your new specs!
You look gorgeous Lucy! I've had glasses since 3 and need some new ones but now I know where to look for the cool ones.
I always used to want glasses, but now you have made me envious :-) they look fantastic!
great specs, lucy. and adorable littlies as always
They say specky girls are super cute and look extra smart :) Your family selfies are hilarious!
Your glasses are brilliant-they tone so well with your colouring and you'd never think they were men's! You are very good doing as you're told-I don't wear mine nearly enough. Your children are so cute! Hope they are enjoying some crafty holiday time xx
The glasses look great! My favorite glasses (been wearing since I was 9) was a pair of men's glasses. I got those in college and loved them! I was hipster before hipster I guess! Hehe.
You still pull the best funny faces Lucy! But the kids are catching up! Great glasses for the Clark Kent look but we know you are the SuperLucy at heart!
You really suit them!!! Glad you can now see everything you're supposed to!
Love the glasses Lucy! I seriously struggle to read without mine!
how nice that what was one hip has become hip again...yes Mrs Kent. they suit you
Lookin' sharp, Missus!
I think you look great in them! I always notice when I get new glasses that they make my eyes feel strained at first because it's so focused all of a sudden. Then a week later my head hurts if I'm not wearing them. It's hell getting old!!!
They look very nice! I've just started wearing mine all the time. They're for long distance so I wore them at movies and driving, but I found my eyes sore at night so I'm trying wearing them all day to see if that helps lessen the fatigue.
