On Friday I attended the Art Gallery Fabrics Fabric Conference at the Custard Factory in Birmingham organised by Hantex. Pat Bravo and her husband Walter are the founders and owners of AGF. I wasn't really sure what to expect but I left feeling totally inspired. Pat Bravo is so full of energy, passion and enthusiasm for her work. Here she is demonstrating machine sewing hexies:

She gave a fantastic talk all about AGF, starting with where it began and her journey to create a brand that produces fabulous prints and beautifully coloured solids, that now has a team of talented designers from a wide range of artistic and sewing backgrounds. Pat had us welling up when she talked about her love for her husband, she is so genuine and really puts her all into their business. There were so many inspiring ideas and lots of 'oohs and aahs' looking at the current and future fabric ranges.

There were lots of lovely samples on display:

The lunch was delicious, yes I ate one of those huge slices of cake!

And I was in good company. These ladies made my day even more fun, it was nice to catch up and I had a proper good laugh (yes I may have even snorted in front of Justine and Katy!):

The delightful Trudi, Justine and Katy

Lynne was there too but I only got a shot of her backside ;)

I don't get out often and meeting up with quilty friends was a real treat. I can't tell you how much creative mojo and excitement about my work I have thanks to Pat Bravo and how much I want to make some leggings using the new Art Gallery Fabrics knits!
