because today I've been commissioned to finish a beautiful vintage quilt.
The quilt has been made mostly from clothes from the 40s and 50s and the prints are so varied and gorgeous.
It is a very large bed quilt and the hexies have been appliquéd onto a pretty blue backing.
Quite a bit of the hand quilting has already been done, though it's still going to be a fair amount of work.
It is a special task and one I will thoroughly enjoy!
