I'm preparing for another PTA summer fete this Friday and have made lots of little things to sell. I was originally planning on making some of Hadley's beautiful key fobs but as I was ordering supplies (hardware from MamaSheCrazy) I found some stripey webbing in another Etsy shop and thought that was an even quicker make! I got some neutral webbing as well to make pretty with fabric but as time was pushing on I decided to totally cheat and just use a decorative stitch on my machine to embellish them. They look pretty cute and I made a bunch of them very quickly.
I'm also getting on with the ottoman, it's hard doing all the construction after having so much fun making the top (I was going to save it to show until I finished the whole thing but I loved it so much I already posted on Instagram and then remembered I haven't shown it here - I feel terrible, like I've gone to the dark side. Sorry!). I used DMC soluble canvas to cross stitch this LOVE pattern based on the design by Robert Indiana.
Now a clever person would have thought about doing this before quilting but I didn't! So it was hard pushing the needle through at times but totally worth it.
Now I'm getting the side part quilted, in between working on everything else I'm doing. It's all straight line quilting but it's a long piece of fabric so I just do a bit when I want some easy sewing and then stop when I'm bored!
I need to write a proper WIP post and see where I'm up to with my Finish Along list so I'll try to do that next week. For now I'll crack on and try to get some finishes.

What a clever idea to stitch on the key fobs! But my goodness! I had to look and look again at the LOVE on the ottoman top! I can't believe it was done by hand! It is soooo perfect, Lucy! Amazing!

The key fobs are a great idea and look really good. Hope they all sell.
I love me some cross stitch too! Lucy, it's beautiful!
Sorry! You get two disjointed comments from me today. Love the idea of a deocrative stitch on webbing. It's so pretty!
oh yes, the centre of the footstool looks great! Cross stitching through a quilt sandwich can't have been easy!
I just did my first summer fete. Actually it's the first I've ever been to since i just moved to London last summer. Well I made back the price of the table plus £5. I am anxious to see how well you do. those fobs are lovely. I was thinking of getting some hardware and then trying one more time during Christmas fayre time to see if I do any better. Good luck! Take pics. :)
that is impressively neat!
The key fobs are really fabulous. :) Very clever to use webbing and the decorative stitching is a great detail.
Great idea with the fobs and I love the ottoman, sounds like a big project.

Your poufe top looks great! Love the cross stitch feature. I managed to resist the FQS discount shipping. It was hard work though!
