I was! The Great British Sewing Bee enthrals me. Yes I wish they would include more types of sewing than just dress making but I still love it and, who knows, I might start liking garment sewing yet.
If it inspires you and you need supplies then head to Minerva Crafts who have created sections of their website dedicated to each episode so you can easily find everything you need!
I just ordered some supplies myself, although I won't be making leggings ;)
p.s. what is with everyone not saying 'crotch' properly??!

Line of the night was from my new favourite Heather - "I want to fall into a bucket of gin!"
Who hasn't experienced that feeling in front of a sewing machine?
Yes, I was watching. I have just bought some gorgeous printed jersey, and I know what I want to make, but I haven't a pattern which says 'jersey'. I was hoping for some tips... Oh well...
I will get you sewing gorgeous little girly dresses for those daughters somehow!
Apparently they were all struggling to get to grips with the arse part of that first challenge, and having to talk about it on national tv!
None of the dresses did it for me at all. Chinola's was the best fitted but so 80's looking. I enjoyed the makeover challenge on the teeshirt though. Very clever ideas.
love to watch .. and say what I would have done ... dont want to do it though!!!!! Also wish they would branch out from clothes ... doesnt have to be pure patchwork .. any home items would do for me ... saw the Christmas special so know they CAN do it x
Ooh I haven't caught up with yesterday's episode yet - saving it for one of the many footie nights. Loving the bigger version of this series :)
Crotchety crotchety crotch crotch- I watched it this morning before work, I was wondering what a cratch was. My favourite is still in :D I know they won't win though overall. Who do you want to win?
I haven't watched any of this series. I did the last one and it just irritated me too much! It's great that it is inspiring so many more people to try sewing.
I love this show! Sadly we are unable to see the first episode here in Canada! Argh!
That's such a cool idea! Well done, Minerva!
I have this episode recorded and waiting for me. I can't wait to listen out for the "crotches". Brilliant!
Just watched it on demand! So good!
he he re 'Crotch' must be the polite pronunciation. I'm also a bit baffled by the pronunciation of 'godets' - granted that the only other person ive ever heard actually say it in real life was Julian from Strictly - but on Strictly they were definitely 'Go-deys' and not 'God-ets'
