This month's theme at le challenge was order. Something that we need lots of around here! I chose to use Noodleheads fabulous Divided Basket pattern to make a basket for all my rose star fabrics and papers (see an update on the quilt here).
For the main part of the basket I used Cactus Calico in Fiesta, Hope Valley by Denyse Schmidt; the pocket is Wallflower in Piney Woods, Hope Valley by Denyse Schmidt and the binding is Feathers in Grass, Sun Print by Alison Glass; the lining is Dotty curtain fabric in lime and the handles are cotton webbing.
It goes rather nicely with the thread catcher fabric basket I made last month!
So now everything's in order and I can get on with getting the quilt finished. I will try not to make another basket for next months link though I really could use these cute baskets in every room!
Head over to le challenge to see what everyone else made and link up your 'order' projects (anything you've made this month that fits that theme). The new theme will be announced tomorrow.

its lovely Lucy, and such a great idea for organising sewing projects :-)
Nicely done! Those fabrics sure look happy in those beautiful baskets!
Perfect Lu! Exactly what I planned to make for this month's challenge but, as I haven't got further than cutting out the pattern and choosing fabric, I don't think it will get done in time. You have inspired me to get a move on though. x
Great basket. I suppose I really should give it a go!
Your baskets are adorable and useful...will brighten up any room....
What a perfect basket to be organised with and every room need gorgeous baskets!
I really want to make one of these, but it never seems to make it too the top of the list!

Love the pattern and your version!
These are fabulous, much better than plastic bags...I'm sure some of mine are disintegrating as they are biodegrade alb and the wips have been in them so long!

Great basket Lucy
Beautiful! Great for your bits and pieces.
oh, I love it! that hope valley looks wonderful. =)
Awesome baskets, Lucy! I like the fabrics you chose for this one and the binding choice looks great with the Denyse Schmidt fabrics. I have a little obsession with baskets myself. So easy to make and so useful, what's not to love?
