My kids and I have become slightly obsessed with these gorgeous all natural yogurts* - no preservatives, stabiliser or colour. Produced by family run business Longley Farm in nearby Yorkshire I really recommend them - especially the banana, I could eat that ALL day! Once you've had yogurt like this you won't want that yucky chemical tasting c**p other companies try to pass off as yogurt. I have had to ditch other yogurts (like Activia etc), I think they are pure aspartame :( Have you noticed how hard it's become to get actual yogurt? I want to scream where's the REAL full fat stuff that's so much better than the no fat, low fat, 50 ingredients stuff?! Don't even get me started on butter.
Longley Farm haven't sponsored this post but if they'd like to send me a lifetime supply of banana yogurt I wouldn't say no. Absolutely the best yogurt and apparently, according to the man in the local deli, the cottage cheese is amazing too.
* I want to write yoghurt but the pots say yogurt, a quick google check says both are correct but yoghurt seemed right to me until I changed it to yogurt and now I'm all confused.
A birthday bundle of fabric joy was sent to me this week by the ever thoughtful Hydee
Just look at all that divine Denyse Schmidt goodness. I can think of a million things I want to do with this but I know some will find it's way into my GTSB quilt and I have let Joan chose a little bit to make the last butterfly block needed for her quilt. I hope Hydee will like that she contributed to my daughters quilt and I think since I was stroking and squeeling about how gorgeous the fabric was Joan got excited about it too! The best bit though was the beautifully written note she sent me. When you're having a tough time the knowledge that friends are thinking about you makes life that little bit easier to handle and I am ever grateful for her support and friendship.
Tasty yoghurt/yogurt, pretty fabric and great friends have made this a nice week so far!
What's been making you smile?
Don't forget to enter my giveaway, open until the 17th!

I'm smiling today because its not -20 anymore. We're above freezing ; ) Lovely fabrics. Have fun with them
Okay, sorry, banana, let's not go there! I do love any other yoghurt though ;o)
Enjoy the new stash :o)
Ahhhh! I am glad you addressed this yogurt issue. SInce I am on baby #1 I do a lot of food research. And one of the things reccommended early on was full fat yogurt. I kind of live in the boonies, but I go into civilization enough to look around for it. I have yet to find it! So crazy. We are too blinded by low this low that. Ugh!
I always fed my children on full fat yogurt , full fat milk, butter, etc, it is much better them and tastes amazing. Happy yogurt day. xx
I LOVE these yog(h)urts! We used to get ours delivered by the milkman when we were kids. Seth is a sucker for the toffee one.
Love full fat yoghurt too! And those fabrics are yummy! I haven't seen those IRL yet!
If it is the best you may want to call in yogurt and the c**p in the shops can stay yoghurt.! I make my own and it is quite different! You did make me smile! Dee
Now I am hungry and want to buy fabric - you are no good for either of my diets!!!
You're hilarious. Yippee for gorgeous DS and yum yum for fab yoghurt (how ever you spell it). The local stuff you can get here is too runny, but after your review you make me want to keep searching for a local, tasty treat. Galway farmers thank you.
I have found a super yummy yogurt from Victoria that is to die for! I buy it in practically every flavour and eat it buy the tub. And yes, it is as full fat as I can find. Skinny yogurt and skinny milk do absolutely nothing for me. They don't taste as good, and while they might have less calories, they also don't fill me up. Full fat all the way!
E xx
Awe I love yoghurt too, could live on the stuff! Fabric not bad either ;-)
check out my blog linky party and tell us a love story ! linky party for Valentines. I got flowers !!
It sounds yummy and good for you too. And did I miss your birthday? Happy birthday just in case.
Great fabric - will look great in J's quilt!
*definitely* yogHurt. The missing 'h' makes me shudder!!!!!
I love their yogurt too and also their cottage cheese!!
Whats made me smile this week is that -
Ive noticed its lighter that bit sooner mornings and later eveings!!
Bliss - longer days are coming, despite the blessed rain!
I also love that yoghurt and am slightly obsessed with the mandarin flavour. It goes very well with a rich tea biscuit... (I first ate them as part of school dinners and you get a biscuit with your yoghurt. I've carried on the tradition!!)
not too sure about banana yogurt (did it used to be "h" but is now rebranded?) but love Rachel's natural yogurt, and a local one from Clandeboye estate. Try to convince myself activia is good for me.
americans spell yogurt without the "H". =) I am with you on wanting just plain old, full-fat yogurt. we love the greek gods honey and vanilla around here. expensive, but worth it! as for butter, I can't live without my kerrygold irish butter. it's so delicious and nothing but the fat, thank you.
yes, I do love that you shared with joan! how sweet. I'm also excited to see your GTSB when it gets going. I think I need to send out more personal notes, even across oceans, because they seem to go over so well. I don't take time to do that often enough.
That's my Dad's favourite, he gets really grumpy at Mum when she buys any other brand :-) Love the fabric too
Mark will no longer eat "margarine" as it is "one molecule away from plastic." Butter all the way. After all, he grew up in dairy country in Minnesota. Although he ate Velveeta--do you have that in England? Weird that he grew up eating a "cheese product," not real cheese. But anyway...
That orange fabric on the top of the stack is one of my most favorites. And happy mail from friends is one of the best things ever.
