I am quite partial to Ryan Gosling, almost enough to buy these earrings from Harts and Stars. Husband might have something to say about it though I could always get a custom order of his face instead. Alternatively the Golden Girls rings would be a good choice:
I do enjoy stumbling across fun shops on Etsy. I also love it for hosting my shop and I'm thrilled I had an order for two of my embroidered cushions this week :)
I've got the embroidery part done:
The baby is wearing a cute fleece onesie - it belonged to her brother and we call it the lobster suit - it keeps her toasty warm!
I had reason to smile when this gorgeous wallet arrived from the wonderfully talented Heather. We agreed a swap (I sent her some fabric scraps, which totally seems unfair after all her amazing work) and really my pictures don't do it justice. I adore the 70s vibe of these big flowers and I know I will be grinning every single time I look at it!
She even included some lovely fabric for me too, thank you so much Heather, you truly are a star! You can see much better pictures and read all about the pattern in this post by Heather. I needed some cheering up and this more than did the job.
I managed to make these bee blocks for Celine in the Simply Solids Bee:
And finally I've made a start on my giving free gifts projects. Well it was going ok until I realised I had no strong glue, so here's how far I got with the oilcloth purse:
I was so frustrated I decided to go ahead and make the simple ornament from Issue 1 of Love Patchwork and Quilting. Urm, well I only chose 3 of the fabrics that were supplied and I kind of hurried it so it doesn't look as good and the one on the front of the kit. But hey it has a certain charm. If you're going to make this one I suggest you do as the project tells you ;)
I guess that finish means I will be the first to link up!! If you'd like to join in I'm having a craft-a-long of free gifts that come with magazines, but please feel free to link up any small makes that would be good gifts. Shanna even prepares her own little kits of projects to sew between bigger projects - I can't wait to see some of those!
You can link up your finished projects HERE

Fun shop, and fabulous swapsies!
I love the wallet especially and your kids are adorable.
You are too funny! I can't imagine anyone wearing those earrings......
Hehehe. I think you should wear one Ryan Gosling one and one of your hubby. Would only be fair. ;)
lol@ the Golden Girls! I love them, but wouldn't be able to choose between them. Guess I'd just have to wear all four!
Nice work, you've been very busy!
So glad you're enjoying your wallet. :)
The kiddos are adorable.
Unexpected presents are the best and the wallet is fab. I like the start that you have made on the freebie projects. I would like to join you but I am still doing bee blocks. Di x
Cute wallet.
I seemed to have purloined the frame from my purse kit already ;)
Love your embroidery, particularly as it's my name ;-)
I simply love everything in this post...everything.
