When the latest issue of Mollie Makes dropped through my door I had an epiphany. The free kit with Issue 34 is an adorable 70s style doll and they suggested it would be a great stocking filler... well yes... it would! My eldest daughter would love it. And that got me thinking, I know I've got more of those kind of things lying around. Turns out I've got thirteen of those free kits from different craft magazines. Thirteen?! I seem to have developed a magazine addiction along with the fabric one.
What a waste to have those supplies lying around while I'm trying to think up gifts to make for teachers. If I have time I'd love to also make little fabric baskets to put them in but if not they'd be just as cute tied up to a bar of chocolate! Some of them would be ideal for this and some others my kids would love to have at Christmas.
So in the spirit of using what you have and creating some extra little gifts would you like to join me? If you have any of those free kits now is the perfect time to make them up!

I have a drawer full of these, I've been thinking that when the children are a bit bigger they can make them all for me!! Have fun making

I don't personally have any (Mollie Makes is too expensive for me to buy in the US) but I know of several bloggers who have been doing this and I think it's a great idea.
Great idea Lucy! I am not a huge magazine buyer but I'm pretty sure I have a Cath Kidston tote bag freebie around the place somewhere - I think everything is pre cut so should be pretty quick to whip up!

I don't have any free kits, but I have been making up little kits for myself when I am done with a project or need a change they are cut, ready to go with the instructions all in a bag for each project!
I have some cute knitting ones that I bought when I was in the UK, a few weeks ago. Now to team up the kit and mag, to get instructions!
I am hoping this weekend to make the felt makes from an edition of Crafty a month or so ago, a robin and a Christmas pudding tree decorations
