The kids and I had great fun the other day with some Sharpies and felt. We decorated some skulls after I was inspired by Rebecca's Day of the Dead post.
Then last night I took a bit more felt and embroidered a couple of black skulls.
This was a nice surprise for them this morning!
It's a start for our Halloween decorating.
I got round to a little EPP too and am back to making more individual Rose Star blocks. This one includes some gorgeous fabric I swapped during the fugly party with the lovely Laura. I think they look very un-fugly!
Once I've finished this post I'm going to get the binding on this beauty:
I am resolved to get more time at my sewing machine. I have bee blocks to get done too but I'm bursting with things I want to make and they won't get done without some machine love!
It's pretty hard to tear myself away from my adorable family though...
see!
Guess I will have to wait until they've all gone to bed ;)

Ooh! I love your dia de los muertos decorations! And that is a pretty adorable family!!!
great skulls, I could have done those in work with the children's reading group but am already sorted, felt skulls would have been fun. Lovely baby and hubby photo too.
I love the EPP block!
That is the most adorable family picture.....two cuties!
100% unfugly!!! One person's trash... :)
Oh how fun, its great to get the little one in on the fun ASAP! I love the EPP block, you always tempt me with your EPP projects to start doing them too...just after a few more projects!
FUN!!!!
Yup, I bet it is hard to tear yourself away from those two!
I love your skulls! Rebecca's post was an inspiration :)
Your EPP block is definitely NOT fugly. I love how those colours, which should not work, actually really work.
Pry yourself away from the bigger one, or you may end up with more of the smaller one ;o)
Cute skulls - I really like the addition of the black ones too. You baby is soooo cuuuute!
Hehehe. Cute decorations! I love that you get the kiddies involved. What a good mum you are. x
your sewing is awesome, but don't tear away from that family too quickly! =) love the new rose star block!
Love the Halloween garland! Such a cute rose star, great fabric! And I so want to give Lois a cuddle, she is so so cute!
fab decorations and glad to see the old rose stars out for more action! there just aren't enough hours in the day aren't there not?? xx
Love the skulls. Such a brilliant idea!
Great job with the skull!! Fantastic!!
Do you decorate and celebrate Halloween in the UK? I didn't know that. Do you do trick or treating? It's really not a thing in Australia, but more and more the shops are stocking decorations etc.
