I really wanted to be good this week and give a proper WIP list so I could hold myself accountable and stop flitting about. Honestly though I can't be bothered. I'm way too tired.
The little one is up nearly every two hours in the night and I'm a lazy mum and have been feeding her every time because it settles her so quickly. Now I'm physically drained from waking and nursing and I've had enough!! I'm trying to get her to eat/drink more today but I'm starting to think it might be habit - hopefully soon we will put her in her own room and see if she can start sleeping better, goodness knows we both need it!
So instead of being organised and telling you everything I'm working on, here's a lovely bundle of fabric that I cut into last night to start something new ;)
and this morning we made more cardboard crap. Yeah! Thanks Yeo Valley for printing fun little things inside your yoghurt packaging and saving a very tired mum from having to think of creative stuff to do!

Oh Lucy! I'm sending you positive vibes- sleepy time ones too! (BTW Your very sweet package arrived today! Thank you-everything is wonderful!)
get what ever rest and recreation thats going x fabrics look yummy too x
Slightly choked on my lunch there about the cardboard crap ;o) Hope you get more sleep soon!
I'm not convinced WIP lists are a good idea - sometimes it is best not to know :) sounds like that yoghurt co. knows the way to a mama's heart - putting cutouts on the inside is brilliant. Hope you get some sleep soon!
Aw, honey, in that situation EVERY mum is lazy! I do like that bundle of fabric, though. And you know my view on cardboard crap - it's the way to go! *g*
Can't wait to see what that fabric pile turns into!
Sorry about the night waking. We found with both our girls that it did stop when they moved into their own rooms. We figured that we were making small noises in our sleep that was waking them. (Either that or we just couldn't hear them crying anymore ;-))

Hi!! I'm sorry you're not getting any sleep. I wouldn't take her to her own room until she sleeps a little better... or you'll have to go even farther each night to calm her :S :S
does she use a pacifier? Hope it gets better soon!!
What a great fabric bundle. I'm not even a Mum and I'm lazy so you have more than enough reason to be. And what a little cutie with her cardboard crap. I grew up on cardboard and paper crap. You really can't beat it :-)
hang in there my baby is 1 and she was the hardest to get to sleep, i nused all the time, still do....
Little Miss C. rolled around all night long too last night (I think it was combo of teeth and needing to poop – LOL)... All I can say is thank goodness for nursing. At least it settles her quickly enough. Here's hoping you have a better night tonight! xoxo
That's ok. Get some rest.
(ps. I think I let go of that WIP accountability some time ago.)
Ah, those baby habits. You'll get through Lucy...I do remember those days and they are a distant memory for me - they will be for you one day too! Things made a drastic turn for us once we got baby in his own room so maybe now would be a good time for you to make that transition.
I remember Lucy! During the day when I had the chance I wouldn't nap. I wanted some me time. I should have napped ; )
This too will pass! Enjoy the baby snugglings!
I did the feeding to settle thing too,, you're so desperate to sleep you don't care.
Those fabrics look bright and cheerful, just keep looking at them to cheer you up.
I'm impressed you had the energy to take pics and write a post! Glad you found the energy for a little fabric therapy :-)
Growth spurt? Learning new things in the day? Just needs the comfort of nursing? Enjoy it all -- it passes so soon. You are doing wonderfully to even think of doing anything else all day, so quit the guilt and celebrate closeness. And thank you for inspiring us all as well! JJ
Eeek! Helen was like that. Total night, are and I feel for you. I was (still am) crap at being tough and sticking to rules. But you can't beat a good stack of fabric, nor the entertainment value of cardboard.
That's a lovely stack! I just got rid of my wip problem by giving them all away, LOL!
Try to get some rest :-)
Your bundle looks fun! Sorry about the lack of sleep, that sounds like us just a few months ago. I've been bad about flitting lately, too! But that just means we'll have a lot of fun stuff to share soon, right?
Lucy, you are amazing! My youngest was a terrible sleeper, always waking several times in the night, so you have my sympathies. Sending big hugs xx
Being sleep deprived is awful! Picking out fabulous stacks of fabrics definitely helps!!! That cow is so cute, I love its smiley face.
I hope that stack is for what I think it's for - it is fabulous! Totally sympathise on the lack of sleep - although miss 3 weened a few months ago (finally!) I did the easy thing and fed her to sleep and back to sleep overnight too. It is exhausting Lu - look after yourself and have a nap while bub is asleep and while the big ones are at school, maybe? Hope it's just a growth spurt and settles down soon xxx
Thank gawd the sleep deprivation passes eventually - just pass the buck as often as you can! (Your hubby reads this doesn't he!!) xxx
Get some rest! Haha. I understand. My youngest child is five and I still feel sleep-deprived. Your fabrics are so pretty.
Oh Lucy I love you so much because you are so real! I know I don't need to tell you to enjoy it while it lasts...I wanted to cry when Miss Ophelia stopped nursing... :( BTW she slept in her bed the whole night for the first time last night! AGH! Hahahhaaa, it only took 15 months so don't be hard on yourself and enjoy that beautiful bundle (I mean both the fabric and baby!).
Oh I soooo know how you feel - those days where all you want is a doughnut for breakfast and to sleeeeeeep. Bless them. It does pass, eventually. Miss 3.5 now sleeps through the night. Mr 6 months - not even close. I can barely function on the bad days. The worse thing is stretching those feeds - you need to have an awful day and night to do it - but you're too bloody tired to even think about that! :-)
Oh wow I can't wait to see what you create with those beauties!
My last baby did the same thing to me. I was sleeping with her in her room so at least my husband could sleep. Then I went to sleep in his/our room so he and I could sleep alone for once. I planned on just going to get her when she cried, but either I didnt hear her or she never woke up without me there. That was 8 months in or more! Wish I'd tried it earlier but of course now I miss it some nights. Not all of them, though. :) hugs, Lucy Angel!!! The new stack looks very fun.
