Like most of the UK, including our roads (!!), I am melting.
There is less sewing going on here as a result of the hot weather - I also now have new found respect for those of you who sew and quilt in hot climes.
Here's what we've been doing the past few days instead:
In addition my sewing has been curtailed by the fact that Lois is officially on the move, she started crawling properly last week - this is what my view of her is like now:
and while crawling round the garden I noticed this is the grip stuff on my kids see-saw glider (I looked that up, it's meant to be called a glider but that sounds silly, I'm sticking with see saw!). I'm taking it as a sign I should smile more :)

Awww such sweet pictures! We are also in the middle of a heat wave in Montreal.... Thank goodness for AC!
Just relax and enjoy the summer sunshine and your beautiful children! The sewing will wait!
I cannot believe she is crawling! And Bering watrmelon, that was not a hit at ours! Enjoy the sunshine, we will b*tch about the rain soon enough!
fab, fab pics of the kids and Lois is crawling, WOW, time flies! Don't feel too sorry for us who live in temperatures hotter even than you're experiencing now, we have air conditioning and I couldn't bear to be back in England in temps like this without it - feel for you :)
what a darling family!
Enjoy the sunshine! :o)
It's definitely not good weather for sewing is it! We lived in Cyprus for two years and my productivity was non-existaent in the sumMer!
yay! a crawler! i love seeing lois' milestones. it keeps me up on what is to come next!
wonderful pictures .. enjoy the sun and warmth and store up the memory for later when we are back to "normal" lol x
I love to see Lois' milestones. My grandaughter who is 10 months old now is now crawling - fast - and the poor old moggy can't get away from her without jumping upwards and he is getting a bit old for that now. They are coming to stay in a cople of weeks and I must try her out with watermelon. Lois seems to be enjoying it. I have been churning out shirred sundresses in the hope that this weather will last. If you keep the curtains closed it is possible to sew (but only simple thngs)
Go Lois go! This is definitely not sewing weather! Shouldn't complain tho, it'll only change! ;-)
You have gorgeous kids!!
Yes, welcome to my world! ;) Beautiful pics - Lois is soooo adorable. Lots of watermelon being eaten here - ice cold of course. Enjoy your sunny...and happy days!
Ugh, hot here too. It was 36C the other day. Icky. Good thing is it only lasted one day and now we're holding steady in the high 20's, which is warm enough for me!!

Too hot for me too! But Lois seems to be enjoying herself - so much to see so little time!
Your little girl is so chubby! What a doll. You have a lovely smile
It's cold and wintery here so I love hearing talk of warm summer days! Great to see lots of playing in the garden and good reminder to smile. Oh and I love the big hexagon play tunnel!
Your children are adorable, you'll have your hands full now she's on the move. It's far to hot for sewing so sit and enjoy the sunshine smiles ~ Sarah x
My productivity took a major nose dive when Marged (10 months) started crawling. She has a real fascination with cables -ironing is a no go unless she's sleeping!
She sits, crawls, and eats watermelon? ! Go Lois! Jack wants to crawl so bad.. sometimes he can make it one bit forward, but then does a belly flop. He scoots around quite well though. We are about 2 weeks into solid foods and have tried watermelon .. not gnawing it from the rind though, that looks like more mess than I can handle .. thanks for sharing pics of the kids. (And your liberty cushion looks divine, btw)
I hope you have air conditioning? I find it kind of amusing that you have a heat wave, sorry. We've just had our coldest wettest week. It was 9C at midday today, and we've had nearly two inches of rain since Thursday night. Makes my farmer dad happy. I was outside at midday watching my daughter play netball. Australian homes don't cater for cold properly, like many UK homes don't cope with heat well I guess.
And, what's Lois doing crawling?! She can't do that yet! Third and last children are supposed to stay babies the longest, sit inthe corner until they're two.
We just moved here 11 June and can't believe how hot it's been! And we've come from Miami, Florida. We've been at the park or outside almost everyday. But it's a lot different going home to no air con in the houses here!
We finally got the thunder storm here, and it's as hot as ever - grrr! Hope you cool down...
