Following the announcement that there will be no Google Reader I was bereft...But I will be following everyone through Bloglovin now and you can do the same if you so choose.
Bloglovin make it super easy to import all your subscriptions from Google Reader.

**I will just say if I'm reading blogs on Bloglovin and people have their comments set to come up on a new page it doesn't open a new page so I can't comment - anyone know a fix for this??
I have changed my comments so they are embedded for this reason. Hope everyone can comment easily on my blog?!**

Hi there, I was trying to test out commenting for ya. I can't see how to read an entire post within Bloglovin' as you can with Google reader. So, when I click on your post, it just brings me all the way to your blog where I can comment like normal. :)
I could comment when it opened in a new window. But I'm doing this on iPad not on computer and sometimes they work differently? I don't really now what I'm doing, lol.
Well I changed to embedded again just for you ;o)
A bunch of us changed our comments to a separate window to accommodate those whose internet explorer programs would not let them comment on pages like this. I will change mine back to this and we shall see how that works for those folks. I am not sure which reader I will move to, there are a few months for new products to come out too.
So sorry, I can't see how to choose one way or another... ;-/
I think I ma missing something - I just have all the blogs I follow come up on my Dashboard - never liked the Reader, not sure of the point of it! I will check what comment thing I have too just in case!
The only problem with blog lovin is it sends me the post feeds late, not in real time, because I am in Australia and ahead in time- does that make sense? I am probably going to use Feedly because it operates in real time.
i'm trying out newsblur too which allows you to comment either way but unless you pay $12 a year, you can only see 12 blogs. I paid and it's brill. Doing the bloglovin' thing too mind. Compare and contrast!
I was wondering why I couldn't comment on some of the blogs in bloglovin. I've just embedded mine :)
You are so savvy! I noticed the same thing about commenting in a new page (or not being able to, lol) so yeah! I'm on Bloglovin as we speak, I hadn't ever gotten to google reader, which explains why I wasn't ever able to "keep up" with blogs effectively, I just always popped in every now and again when I thought of it! Anyways, liking Bloglovin so far!
I'm a real technophobe .. that's why it's taken me so long to actually stop lurking and start blogging. Guess I'll have to go check out Bloglovin :)
So, can I ask a question? When I go to blogger to update my blog, I can see all of my blog buddies' new posts there on the dashboard. Is that disappearing? Or is google reader something else all together? I don't want to loose you guys...but it's silly to make changes when I'm happy with how I do things.
