Yes. Over the past few evenings I have been doing some chain piecing and pinning and have FINALLY finished my retro flowers blocks.
It has been at the expense of me catching up on the HFWYG? QAL blocks but I needed to get something finished and since I've been at this longer I know it'll feel wonderful to have it quilted. I'm sure once I've struggled with putting this together and quilting it some nice blocks will be just the ticket!
I'm intending to do the most simple quilting I can do, straight lines, as I'm not sure I can cope with anything more vigorous.

Those blocks look beautiful. Can't wait to see them pieced together. Di x
Did you hear me take in my breathe when I saw these beauties!? My son did but was busy playing with the dog..
these are gorgeous!!
Good for you Lucy. What an accomplishment. How many more weeks before Baby Charm arrives???
These look amazing!
Pretty, oh so pretty!
Love them! Good for you. And I personally love straight line quilting both for it's ease and it's beauty, so if I could only straight-line quilt forever, I'd be happy...just saying...
you CAN do this xx
Those are lovely! How do you make them?
They're wonderful! I love the occasional 'odd' petal - what a clever idea!
They look brilliant and I love the odd mismatched petal.
Fabulous! Can't wait to see it all together!
Awesome! I understand that 'I NEED TO FINISH SOMETHING' feeling!
Lucy, these blocks are beautiful!! I love the fabrics - this is going to be a fabulous quilt. And I hear you about the quilting. I am never capable of anything taxing when it comes to the quilting part. I tried something taxing once this year and it's still undone months later...
Gorgeous! (Gently now.....)
Yay - the batting for mine arrived yesterday! I just need to piece the backing - how can such a great quilt pattern create such a feeling of lethargy!?
Ooh these look just beautiful!
Nothing wrong with some good old straight line quilting - then it lets the blocks and fabrics really shine!
They're gorgeous! The DS fabrics goes so well with the background solid - what colour is that?
Look forward to seeing the finished quilt - it'll be beautiful for sure!
These look fantastic, look forward to seeing them all sewn up
Your blocks are so beautiful Lucy!
Those are wonderful, your quilt will be excellent! Your energy is amazing too.
Woot! I have another 3 blocks to do to make my bee version up to size, but alas, it's rather far down the queue...
Simply fabulous :)
Very very pretty.
I love this block I would like to make one for my granddaughter being born in Jan 2013. Yours is lovely!
Oh Lu they looks seriously fantastic! This could be my favorite retro flowers quilt of all time!
Amen for straight line quilting is all I can say lol but this is going to be stunning!
So jealous that you have got this far....I haven't done a bit of mine
