I'm excited to have become affiliated with Prints to Polka Dots. They are a fantastic UK online shop, with everything you need to quilt and more (check out the Slipper Gripper, I will so be making myself some slippers!!)
I know I've already recommended them to a few of you before and I have bought some great fabric from them since I started quilting. They have a good choice, particularly for children's prints, and I love their sales. They currently have some lovely Amy Butler, Valori Wells and Annela Hoey's Sherbert Pips prints on sale, as well as great scrap bags (they have lots of options and choices of scraps if you need some stash builders!) and budget bargains :)
completed:
The Pezzy quilt top (still waiting for wadding!)
My first embroidery attempt (still waiting to be framed!)
A Bee Blessed block (I sent it off to Judith today!)
A drawstring bag using Jeni's fabulous tutorial for my threads since I'm now an embroidery addict too!!
ongoing:
Stained QAL (see the button on the sidebar) - I've finished my first block and I'm totally in love :)
This is SO fun, goes together super easily and although my sewing isn't perfect I'm really happy so far!
I realised I made a mistake, sewing a couple of the same fabrics in the wrong place, so they're too close together but I'm not unpicking since I still like it ;)
no progress:
- rose star blocks, I've basted some pieces for my next block but no actual sewing done yet
I've been perusing the internet looking at solids for the background for my Rose Star dilemma and I think I've fallen for the Kona Apple! I like the mint but am wondering about going brighter. The apple looks yummy to me. I'm still contemplating... I did try some darker colours but it doesn't look right. Huge thank you to you all for your input and ideas. I will do another mosaic if I can't make a decision soon!
stats:
completed: 2
new projects: 0
in progress: 3
Hope you're having a great week and I'm off to see other people's WIPs!

I love your stained glass block. I'm so tempted to try putting one together...
Oooh, the stained block looks great!! Though I must say, whenever I see "stained QAL" I think of dirty stains on clothes, not stained glass! So henceforth if I refer to it, it shall be called the stained glass QAL! hehe
I love the pez quilt top - very cool!
I think Apple will be awesome for a background around those blocks, Lucy! All your projects look fabulous as usual!
The more of these stained quilt blocks I see, the more I think i need to do the QAL. Love yours, the colours look great! Congrats on becoming affiliated (sorry to be a noob, but does that mean they're a sponsor for you?)
All lovely projects Lucy! Just love the little drawstring bag... how cute! And your stained glass block is beautiful... good work!
Kona Apple sounds delicious! And I love your stained glass block! That is going to be lovely!
You've been busy, Lucy! Love the prezzy top, and the way you framed each block! Very cute and modern!
Love. All of it. Especially that drawstring bag, great choice of fabrics. Congrats on the sponsor!
Your first embroidery go is darling! Wish mine was that good :(
The pezzy prints make me want Pez candy. Do they have that over there?
I love pezzy & your embroidery is so cute!
Gosh! You have been busy. I have just made that drawstring bag and it is a dream to go together. Your embroidery is good too. Di xo
your embroidery is excellent! way better than my first attempt! love the pez quilt top and the stained glass and the bag and just everything! well done girl x
You have so much on the go! Love pezzy prints brightness, the embroidery is so wonderful and can't believe it is your first attempt - and I haven't started cutting for my stained pink yet. I am so far behind - but your looks great.
Great collection of makes, and I have a few Stained fabrics not entirely in the right place, but I'm not losing sleep over it ;o)
What an awesome job on your first embroidery! I want to make a whole bunch of those drawstring bags too-- do you think they come with magic dust that makes the children actually put their toys away in the bags???
All looking lovely, as usual xxx
Your projects are all very lovely! I love your pezzy quilt top!
Love everything you've made!! Especially the Pez quilt!!
Love the pezzy quilt top and your stained block!
So many wonderful projects, you! Lovely, lovely!
Looking great Lucy!
Love your finished project, the drawstring bag should also be on my list to do - just starting a cross-stitch project (well let's say I bought the thread).
I love your little embroidered girl :-) The stained glass project looks awesome as well. I love those colors together, and those are some really great fabrics!
I think the apple sounds great too! And I love your stained glass block, Lucy! And congrats on the sponsor, woohoo!! :o)
Awesome stained glass block, Lucy! I've joined that QAL too, but haven't had a chance to start. I may be the laggard of the group. ;)
I love your stained quilt, I am still cutting but your block is motivating me to keep going. Also the rest of your projects are lovely, I wonder how you will quilt that cute pezzy quilt.
I love your stained glass block. I was going to do that QAL but I decided against it - now I'm tempted again!
So many beautiful things going on! I LIKE the apple but I think I would like to see the rest of the block on top of it.
